Manchester United: Rangnick caught champions League

Team manager Ralf Rangnick has ticked off the Champions League qualification with the English record champions Manchester United.

"I don't think it makes sense to talk about the Champions League now and to speculate," said Rangnick before the duel against Chelsea FC on Thursday (8:45 p.m. in the live ticker). "We have to stay realistic," he added.

Manchester is six points behind fourth place and also played one more game than Arsenal FC. "Even if we win all four games, it's not in our hands. But what we have in hand is the way we play, the level of performance," said Rangnick.

The former Champions League winner also complains of a long list of injuries. Against Chelsea, Rangnick also has to do without Harry Maguire and ex-Dortmund Jadon Sancho. Erik Ten Hag (Ajax Amsterdam) will be team manager at United for the new season.
